I just read this little article by Elder Holland, published in this month's Ensign. He talks about Christmas spent away from the normal Christmas scene, like the first Christmas we had away from home. It has been interesting to reflect on what Christmas means to me, how different each of my Christmases have been in the last few years, and how each year changes. But I love Elder Holland's story of his first Christmas away from home and the opportunity to think about what makes Christmas for me. What makes it the season, why I get excited, what I look forward to, and why I'm sad when it's over.
Please read it. May you have the same opportunity :)
